Zinc Flake Coating Services — Engineered for Marine, Automobile & Railway Applications

Zinova Coating, based at Om Industrial Park, 21, beside Shivbhumi Estate 3, Ta: Dashkroi, Bakrol Bujrang, Gujarat 382430, provides a full range of zinc flake coating services to manufacturers across Dholera, Rajkot, Kutch, Jamnagar, Sanad, Bhavnagar, and Ankleshwar. Each service is structured around your component’s operating environment, OEM requirements, and performance specifications — not a generic process applied uniformly to every job.

1. Zinc Flake Basecoat Application

Our basecoat service applies zinc flake in controlled 8–12 micron layers, delivering a minimum of 720–1,000+ hours of neutral salt spray resistance per ISO 9227. The zinc flake basecoat provides cathodic protection to the substrate, dramatically outperforming zinc electroplating in corrosion resistance while eliminating the hydrogen embrittlement risk that makes electroplating unsuitable for high-tensile fasteners (Grade 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9).

Basecoat application is suited to automotive chassis fasteners, railway undercarriage hardware, marine structural connectors, and any component where a thin, dimensionally accurate, corrosion-resistant coating is required. Thread geometry is preserved throughout — critical for components assembled under torque control in automotive and railway applications.

2. Silver Topcoat Systems

Our silver topcoat extends total salt spray resistance to 1,000–1,500 hours while enabling precise friction coefficient control in the 0.09–0.16 range. This topcoat system is the standard choice for automotive OEM supply chains where torque-tension consistency is specified and monitored in automated assembly.

Silver topcoats are tested per ISO 16047 for friction coefficient verification, and our process records provide the full traceability required for OEM supplier qualification. Suitable for high-volume fastener production for automotive assembly plants across Sanad and Ankleshwar.

3. Black Topcoat Systems

Black topcoat systems provide equivalent corrosion performance to silver topcoats — 1,000–1,500+ hours salt spray resistance — with additional visual differentiation. Black-coated fasteners are used in automotive interior and underbody applications, marine hardware where aesthetic specification matters, and industrial assemblies where component identification by colour is part of the OEM specification.

Friction coefficient range for black topcoat systems is 0.10–0.18, and all batches are documented with the same full traceability as our silver topcoat production.

4. Custom Colour Finishes

Zinc flake systems can be applied with custom colour topcoats for OEM identification, product line differentiation, or branding requirements. Custom colour finishes are used by automotive component manufacturers to distinguish part grades or assembly stages, and by industrial equipment manufacturers for component coding in complex assemblies.

We work with your engineering and procurement teams to define colour specifications and ensure consistency across production batches. Custom colour systems are available for both automotive and non-automotive applications across Gujarat’s manufacturing base.

5. High-Corrosion Specification Coating — 1,500+ Hours

For components operating in the most demanding corrosive environments, we offer high-specification coating systems engineered to exceed 1,500 hours of neutral salt spray resistance. These systems are designed for marine and offshore-adjacent equipment operating in the coastal environments of Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, and Kutch — where continuous salt air exposure, spray immersion, and high humidity combine to accelerate corrosion at rates that standard automotive coatings cannot withstand.

High-corrosion specification coatings are also used for railway components on coastal rail corridors, offshore infrastructure fasteners, and long-life industrial equipment where coating replacement is not operationally feasible. We provide full process documentation and salt spray test certification for all high-specification batches.

6. Friction Coefficient Control and ISO 16047 Testing

For automotive and railway applications where torque-tension control is critical, our topcoat systems are precisely calibrated to deliver friction coefficients in the 0.09–0.18 range — or tighter, where OEM specifications require it. Inconsistent friction coefficient is a leading cause of joint failure in bolted assemblies, and our process controls are designed to eliminate batch-to-batch variability.

ISO 16047 friction coefficient testing is available as part of our quality verification process. Test data is included with batch documentation, supporting your OEM’s incoming quality verification and supplier audit requirements.

7. Technical Consultation and Specification Support

Our technical consultation service is available at no charge for OEM engineers, Tier-1 procurement managers, and quality teams across Gujarat’s automobile, marine, and railway sectors. We help you define the right coating specification for your component — from initial salt spray hour requirements and friction coefficient targets through to OEM documentation, RoHS compliance certification, and IMDS data.

Whether you are specifying a new component, qualifying a new supplier, or upgrading from an existing coating process, our technical team will review your component drawings, operating environment data, and OEM requirements and provide a specific coating recommendation supported by test data.

Contact Zinova Coating at Om Industrial Park, Bakrol Bujrang, Gujarat 382430 to discuss your coating requirements. Technical consultations are available Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
